A Hunting They Will Go!

What a beautiful morning for an Easter egg hunt in our yard--green grass, warm sun, a light breeze!  The girls did a great job of sharing.

Egg-citing Times

The girls dyed eggs and added stickers.  We bought a tie-dye pattern kit, but I should have known not to expect the same results as the packaging.  They never look like that!  We still thought they were pretty.

Easter Day

The Easter Bunny left some nice presents for the girls and hid many eggs in the yard.  We even caught a glimpse of him while on our hunt!

Egg Dying with Smiley

She's so into her creations!  White crayon, dye, and stickers--two hours of fun!  I'm loving her side-pony bun in these pictures.  This shirt has a button on the back that catches her hair and gets tangled.  A regular pony tail gets wrapped in it as well.  So this do was a way to avoid the button.  I'll have to style it this way more often.

Easter Activities

Our church held an children's Easter event with games, an egg hunt, and pictures with the Easter Bunny.  It was quite packed, but we waited it out and eventually the crowd thinned and we were able to enjoy the activities.  Lauren was perplexed when we first sat her on the bunny's lap, but gave us a few smiles and never cried!

A Hunting We Will Go

Emma hunted for her hard-boiled eggs indoors after waking up and her plastic eggs outdoors later in the day.  That bunny sure knows how to find the best hiding spots!  When Emma was younger and slower, I was able to get more pictures.  Now it is difficult to stay ahead of her and get a non-blurry shot.

Colorful Eggs

Emma had a blast dying Easter eggs and adding stickers this year.  She only wanted to use the white crayon on two eggs - one said her name and the other said her soon-to-be baby sister's name.  It's so sweet how Emma has made the baby part of our family already.  She talks about her all the time and demonstrates how great she'll be as a big sister.

Easter Cards

Emma prepared Easter cards for her relatives.  Boy, signing your name so many times is hard work!

More Easter

The Easter celebrations continued with the other side of the family. Here are a few pictures. Unfortunately a lot were blurry, so I left them out. As you can see, Emma was spoiled with wonderful gifts including many for the yard. She loved her gardening gloves, watering can, kneeling pad, wagon, wheelbarrow, and more. She will be a terrific helper in the yard with the perfect tools!

Foley Easter

Emma greatly enjoyed her Easter weekend with the Foley family. She dyed eggs and added Mickey Mouse Clubhouse stickers after they dried. We saved these to eat later on. Then the great aunts put together a hunt in the front yard using plastic eggs filled with all sorts of goodies: coins, stickers, fruit snacks, and undies. There were a few other presents as well.

Eggspressions

I just happened upon some pictures from this spring that I had yet to organize and post. I'll share them with you now, but the chronological perfectionist in me will likely adjust the appropriate location a few weeks from now.

Emma and I designed some funky eggs in April. I cut out the pieces in advance and we took turns gluing and pressing them in place. She is proud of her eggspressionist art!

The Bunny's Basket

Here are a few shots of Emma investigating her goodies from the Easter bunny!
