Winter Art

Here are a few art projects that Emma made this winter. She did some with her babysitter and some with us at home or at the children's museum. There were many others, but these were ones still displayed on her art bulletin board when I remembered to take a picture.

Number Line

Emma can be quite the little artist at her new art studio in the playroom. However, today she decided to use her magnets and placed them in order 1-10. Look closely and you can see that she used a yellow dry-erase crayon to draw a line with hash marks just like a number line! I just sat there and watched Emma work without prompting her. We had never done an activities like this before. It was fun to watch and wonder what she was thinking!

Flower Girl

Can you believe the first picture! We ordered a new dress and "matching" headpiece online for Emma to wear in my cousin Ashley's New Year's Eve wedding and got that! None of the greens looked sage to me. Thank goodness the grandparents lended a hand. Papa Mike and Grammy Jill found the new flower for the sash. They watched Emma so that Scott and I could run around town and find sage ribbon, ivory shoes, ivory tights, and materials to make a foo-foo slip. Grandma Connie used her sewing skills to whip up the slip and transform the sash. We think it all came together nicely. Emma's multi-green accessories blended well with the variety of greens in the wedding party and decor. Emma was the perfect little flower girl and held the hand of her two-year old counterpart as they walked down the aisle.
