Finger Foods
We introduced Gerber Graduate Puffs to Emma earlier this week. They are the first finger foods she'd tried. She's not used to the rough texture, and her facial expression shows it. You'll see some bonus footage at the end of the video. It's the first time she's done that without a visual prompt and the first time we've caught it on camera.

Peek-a-boo!
Emma gets the biggest kick out of the peek-a-boo game. Mommy likes to hide around the corner or in the closet and surprise her. Emmy will crane her neck to try and see me before I pop out and sing "Peek-a-boo!" Her wild giggles are the best! In these photos, Emma was transitioning to her PJs. We hid her under a blanket and she pulled it off to surprise us.

Emma and Joan
Are these two girls cute, or what? Emma's new friend, Joan, came over to give her a crawling lesson. She's got two months on Emmy, so Joan makes the perfect role model.

Eight Months Old
Our sunshine girl turned eight-months old on March 9. She has developed so much in the last several months. Here's what she can do:
- laugh without prompting from mom or dad
- clap objects together
- transfer objects between hands
- pick up objects with her thumb and finger
- reach into containers and remove objects
- pull blankets to get objects that are out of reach
- look under pillows and blankets for hidden objects
- roll over both directions and multiple times in a row
- rock on hands and knees
- scoot backwards on tummy
- stand with some support
- pick up her pacifier and put it back in the correct way
- razz (blowy noises with lips and tongue)
- sing (long, high-pitched coo)
- spin, twist, flip, pull, and push parts of toys
- splash in the tub

Car Seat Upgrade
After outgrowing her infant car seat a few weeks ago, Emma upgraded to this convertible car seat. She'll be rear-facing until she is a year old. Then we'll be able to have her face forward. Emma has a great time watching the world go by as we travel around town. This picture is from a trip to church last weekend.

Playful One
Even though it was close to bedtime, Emma had some energy last Saturday evening. She showed off a little before we started our nighttime routine. Emma usually becomes more focused on the camera and stops the cute noise, action, etc. we are trying to capture. So, with these two challenges considered, we were surprised that we caught some footage to share with you.

On Your Mark, Get Set, . . .
On our 150th post to Fun with the Foleys, Emma is off to the races! Miss Inquisitive is lunging forward for toys all of the time and attempting to crawl towards them. She occasionally makes the hurdle over her feet to be in the correct crawling position. However, her locomotion is reverse for the time being.
