Out of This World Mobile

Emma's aunt and uncle gave her a solar system mobile kit for Easter.  It was so easy for her to assemble.  The stickers were used to connect the ribbon to the cardboard pieces.  The coolest part is that the stickers glow in the dark!  You can imagine Emma's reaction when we tested it out.  Throughout the first night, the strands fell off where they attach to the planet's rings because the tiny star stickers could not bear the weight.  A few drops of super glue fixed that issue and it has now adorns Emma's ceiling fan chain.  She just loves art, and this project was something she felt quite proud to create.

Today was a special day!  We welcomed our second daughter, Lauren Rose, into our family.  She celebrates her birthday with her Papa Mike who was also born on April 20!  Big sister, Emma, is over the moon to meet her little "sugar baby" who she called Rosie even before we knew we were having a girl.

Spring Art

Emma made several creations with her friends at the babysitter's in the last two months.  We love to display her work on photo boards in her playroom.  She has so many projects that we have to rotate the older ones out to make room for the new art.

A Hunting We Will Go

Emma hunted for her hard-boiled eggs indoors after waking up and her plastic eggs outdoors later in the day.  That bunny sure knows how to find the best hiding spots!  When Emma was younger and slower, I was able to get more pictures.  Now it is difficult to stay ahead of her and get a non-blurry shot.

Colorful Eggs

Emma had a blast dying Easter eggs and adding stickers this year.  She only wanted to use the white crayon on two eggs - one said her name and the other said her soon-to-be baby sister's name.  It's so sweet how Emma has made the baby part of our family already.  She talks about her all the time and demonstrates how great she'll be as a big sister.

Easter Cards

Emma prepared Easter cards for her relatives.  Boy, signing your name so many times is hard work!
