Growing Girl

Emma had her six-month doctor's appointment on Friday. She weighed in at 18 pounds with a length of just over 27 inches. Both of these measurements are in the 80th and 88th percentiles respectively. Her georgous noggin is still in the 95th percentile. When Scott asked about it, our doctor looked at Scott and said, "You have a pretty big head. I think she inherited it from you." We love both of our huge-headed honeys!

Pearly Whites

It's here! Emma's first tooth has arrived! The bottom left pearly white started making its way up a week ago! Emma kept it covered by her squirrely tongue, so it took a full day for daddy to believe me when I told him I saw it coming in. Now both of her bottom center teeth are clearly visible. I've made a few attempts to get a photo of them, but to no avail. You know I'll get it one of these days and share it with everyone.

Rolly Foley

Emma rolled over in the same direction two times in a row last weekend. Luckily I had our camera at the ready to snap away at the little rolly poly. I think she was after the camera!

Bed Time or Play Time

Getting ready for bed is just another exciting part of Emma's day. She'd prefer to stay solely in her skivvies, if we'd let her. She runs hot, so we can let her roll around for a few minutes before putting on her jammies.

Toy Box Fun

Emma wanted to see where all of her fun toys spend the night. She watches mommy and daddy put them away in the ottomans, but wanted a peek herself. Fun, fun!

Tasty Toes

Emma has decided that her toes are super tasty. Yesterday she took the opportunity when her toes were free from her footie PJs after a diaper change. Look at that flexibility!

Six Months Old

We've reached the 1/2 year milestone! Emma is sitting like a champ these days with some support from her arms. We've introduced her to rice cereal, peas, green beans, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes, and pears. She's also on her way to getting her first tooth, or so we think!

Daddy's Day

Happy birthday, daddy! I wanted to get you an extra special present this year, but I realized that you already have the best gift ever--mommy and me! Well, you tell this all of the time, so I'm not boasting. This won't be the last time I repeat what you say, so watch out!
