Look Who's Walking and Talking!

Emma loves to walk . . . and run . . . and bounce . . . and climb . . . and talk . . . and read . . . and play. Puzzles and books are her favorites. She is learning animal sounds and can say quack, baaa, and neigh quite clearly. Other fun words include hi, bye-bye, more, nigh-night, up, puppy, elbow, Elmo, and her own name. Grandma Connie taught her how to blow kisses, too. Emma is a mover and a shaker! Here she is chasing Scott around the room as he attempts to take a video.

Classic Little People

Grandma Connie introduced Emma to some toys that Scott played with in his childhood. Here she is with the Little People barn. Rex had to keep a close eye on Emma while she explored.

Furry Friends

Scott took Emma to Beardstown for a two-day visit during the work week. They stopped by Great Grandma Charlotte's place for a little while one day. The stuffed animal basket was just too inviting!

All the Girls

It has been just over a year since a four-generation picture was taken of the Greves-Schultz-Foley women. What a good-looking bunch!

Pumpkin Picks a Pumpkin

While on our way back to Aunt Pam's from Frankfort Days, we stopped at a little farm selling a variety of fruits, vegetables, and flowers including pumpkins, gourds, and mums. Emma loved the colors and textures. The psychedelic ceramic frog sculptures intrigued her as well. But the most exciting part for Emma was the ride in the cart. My personal favorites are the two pictures of her heaving the pumpkins!

Playing in the Grass

Aunt Pam and Uncle Marty's yard in the Chicago suburb of Manhattan had the best grass for Emma. We spent Labor Day weekend up there visiting with family. My grandma, Nan, from Arizona was still in town. My cousin, Ashley, and her boyfriend, Alex, were also able to stop by before heading off for adventures in Italy. My parents, cousin Jamie, and some friends of Nan's were there as well.

Schultz Wedding

My brother, Chad, and his fiance, Stephanie, tied the knot on Saturday, August 29. These photos are a collection of highlights from many cameras at the wonderful event in Chicago.

Babe in Black and White

Grandma Jill took a beautiful picture of Emma with me at my brother's wedding last weekend. Yes, I did just compliment myself, but holding my sweet baby girl is what makes the photo so special. I'm still in the process of downloading and cropping other shots from the big day, so look for them to appear here soon.

Bear Buddies in the Baby Buggy

While at Grandma and Grandpa Schultz's, Emma found a decorative baby buggy with three bears. She could tell that those bears hadn't been out for a stroll in awhile, so she decided to take them on a trip around the house. At the end of her first loop, Emma paused to pose for a picture when the weight shifted and she went headfirst into her buddies!

A Chilly Swim

During a visit to Decatur last week, I had the great idea of getting into the pool. The water was chilly after several days of below-average August temps, but Emma didn't seem to mind. She had a great time trying to catch debris in the water with the skimmer and playing with the beach balls.
