Bath Time

Newborns are typically given “sponge baths” during their first days. It isn’t until a baby’s cord falls off that he/she can transition to the baby tub. This usually happens in 7-21 days. Well, our five-week old has yet to part with hers. Nonetheless, we opted for a shallow tub bath this week. Emma seemed to like the warm water at first, but got chilly quickly. In a few days we will give it another go.

We bought a small space heater to use during bath time. We typically start it going about 10 minutes before bath time to get the room warmed up and then set Olivia & Jack near it when we are getting them dried off, lotioned up and pjs on. We have endured the eye rolling from family members who think this is overboard, but our kids love bath time and that is what matters!!!
